Roland Kiehne brings decades of trade union experience, enthusiasm, activism and leadership to the ongoing fight to protect and build workers’ rights.
Rolly started at de Havilland Aircraft in Toronto and has been a member of CAW Local 112 since 1978. He has held numerous elected positions in Local 112, including full-time health and safety representative, chairperson of the political education committee and the union in politics committee from 1999 to the present. He was Local 112 vice-president from 1999 to 2002.
In 2005, he was elected president of Local 112, representing more than 3,000 members in the aerospace, heavy equipment manufacturing and auto parts sectors. Rolly was elected to the union’s National Executive Board in 2009.
